I love lilies and that has to be one of my favourites.

I love the smell of these flowers. They last so long!

BTW, Pink Martini is a Portland, Oregon band. One of the musicians is a life long family friend. Paloma plays the Cello and/or violin I believe.
Mary MacADNski: The fact that they last so long is the best part. I only grow flowers to bring them in and put them in vases and when they are long lasting, it's a bonus.

I love Pink Martini. They have such a diverse selection of music! They're wonderful!

My daughter Kathryn loves these, daughter Helen has to cut the stamens off or she starts wheezing...the pollen does not agree with asthma!
Mary MacADNski: It's quite common to cut the stamens off for allergies. We do at work. I don't have to. I've had some inside for weeks.

It's a real beauty, and it looks as if you aren't too troubled by slugs either
Mary MacADNski: Slugs were around in my garden but I just purchased these from a gardening center. The slugs are an intregal part of a wet summer.

A beautiful lily, gorgeous colour. I love lilies, but unlike most people, I hate the smell!

Mary MacADNski: That's like easter lilies, Ingrid. Some people love the smell; some people hate it.
Yes, the smell is an acquired taste , I personally like it and they are so beautiful.
Mary MacADNski: I love the smell too. Quite a few people get allergy symptoms from the pollens.
You are lucky to have so many beautiful plants in your garden!
Mary MacADNski: They are on my deck at the moment but I will plant them soon.
