It must have been an epic trek/swim for these critters to get to PEI from the Andes. [grin]
Mary MacADNski: Thay were tired when they got here. Some are still resting.
I take it they are friendly. There is an overall softness to the image.
Mary MacADNski: I didn't approach the fence as there was a wildly barking guard dog but usually they are quite friendly.

Great colour and depth.
Mary MacADNski: They come in all colours which is quite interestng. Thanks.
This is very amusing: we get herds of these sorts of things in the UK these days. They always look so haughty!

Love the title. I was only singing that the other day
Who put the bomp
In the bomp bah bomp bah bomp?
Who put the ram
In the rama lama ding dong?
Who put the bop
In the bop shoo bop shoo bop?
Who put the dip
In the dip da dip da dip?
Who was that man?
I'd like to shake his hand
He made my baby
Fall in love with me (yeah!!)
Mary MacADNski: Doesn't seem that long ago does it?

What wonderful animals. I've never seen so many in one place before. I like the wide variety of colours.
Mary MacADNski: I drive by this field quite often but for once they were all together by the road. There was a fierce dog though so I didn't get very close. this has been digitally zoomed.

I love these fellas, they have such characterful faces and jaunty teeth up close.

Very nicely observed
Mary MacADNski: Their character is what I like about them too. They're rather soft too.

I don't think I have ever seen so many llamas together before! I wonder what the collective noun for a group of llamas is?! They look quite inquisitive - it could be an enquiry of llamas?
Ingrid
Mary MacADNski: I think that's perfect! Louis has just invented a word - viewtiful. You're a cre8ive group.

I have never seen so many in the one spot.
Mary MacADNski: This was obviously a farm. I believe they might have an on-site gift store too.
Mary we have llama breeders in our area My favorites are the babies. They are used on cattle ranches and sheep farms as protection against coyotes. Apparently they are very effective.
Very nice photo you got of the herd of them!
Mary MacADNski: We use donkeys here as well against the many coyotes. There was a very loudly barking dog guarding these fellows. I think that would be because they're very expensive.
