photoblog image Seeing the Light

Seeing the Light

Though it doesn't happen often, I played with Picassa for this shot.
I played with contrast, shadow, highlight, and sharpen.  Cool eh?
The original isn't nearly as exciting.

This is great: you couldn't have planned it better!
Mary MacADNski: We were amazed that this was happening at my beach.

Great sun
Mary MacADNski: It was a fun experiment.

Good for you for having a go at this. You're done agreat job with it with the sunburst and the paragliders.

None of my images I publish are straight of the camera; they all get some sort of tweak!
Mary MacADNski: I only straighten horizons normally but had fun doing this.
This photo has everything really; person on the beach, paragliders, trees silhouetted on the horizon, sun sparkles on the water and that wonderful sun (or sun flare some people might say).

A very successful experiment, I would say, especially as you had fun doing it.
Mary MacADNski: I have to get out of my box sometimes. Thanks.

Wonderful, Mary. Nothing wrong with a little tweaking and twiddling when the results ars as superb as this smile
Mary MacADNski: Aren't you nice! For me, photography is all about the moment so this is cheating a bit.
AHA! Caught twiddlinggrin And to very good effect Mary
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Bill. From the king of twiddlers that's not a bad compliment. I did a couple more that you might like better. They were pretty wild.

Very cool Mary
Mary MacADNski: I took so many shots that I thought I could waste a few and treat it like a toy.

Looks like you did good Picassa, Mary.
But, I think the pic might have been OK anyway.
Mary MacADNski: The picasa made for the colours in the sun rays. They weren't visible before.
Despites the extremely bad lighting situation, you managed very very well to get such a decent result. Bravo!
Nice continuation with the previous one !
