We had our first snowfall overnight (this is Saturday) and I'm bemoaning it, as I always do. I'd prefer to get my vitamin D in the sunshine rather than a bottle.
I've just come in from shoveling this very wet, heavy snow and have had enough winter already. What's a girl to do?

Grin and bear it Mary! We have snow here although in Droitwich it is only a dusting and it looks like it will turn to rain.
Vitamin D? Eggs, oily fish and margarine!!
Mary MacADNski: I eat an excellent diet but it is now recommended to have 1000 mg. of vitamin D per day for this climate. The recommended daily dosage was 400 mg until a couple of years ago. I've taken a halibut liver oil capsule pretty well every day since I was 2. I couldn't put margarine in my mouth. I'm a butter girl.
It looks very pretty Mary, but I don't envy you one bit. I hope this doesn't prove to be too long a winter for you
Don't pop pills, eat fish!

Will you please be careful and don't fall down again on the shoulder, yep a girl has to do what a girl has to do.......
I will send you some pics I took this day......
Imagine me on the bike at 7 to be in time for my work.....it will be a big adventure, but a girl has to do what......erm....the rest you know.
Wonderful picture again... talked to my brother and we talked about your snow...and Tracy mentioned your blog, we skyped for a few minutes.
Groeten Astrid.
Mary MacADNski: Seeing the snow and ice made me think of that. The only thing I like about winter is skating and snow-shoeing and was unable to do either last winter. I hope to this year though!
I don't know your big adventure. Pleas e-mail me the news. Seven in the morning might be cold on a bile. You might need so many clothes on that you will be unable to pedal.
Thanks for the photos. They made your snow look look more romantic than mine is.
Oh dear, Mary.. winter already, eh? It seems like only yesterday since your last winter. We've had snow in northern parts of England this weekend and the media is full of horror stories about "low temperatures of 2 deg C!. Probably balmy summer conditions in PEI relatively speaking!
Mary MacADNski: It's been zero for the last several days but is going to be 11 on Thursday with rain on Wed and Thurs. I won't be here though. I'm off to Florida tomorrow.
Really like your composition here, Mary.
