Mary MacADNski: I couldn't believe it, Ray. I am parked in a friend's driveway but she wasn't home. I talked to her yesterday and supposedly this is a common occurence. I thought it was hilarious.
Mary MacADNski: Isn't it funny? I was flabbergasted. When i raised ducks one of mine decided to nest across the road. i could not find her nest to move her back. She came home a couple of times a day to eat and bathe but was taken by a fox. I found her nest the following winter when all the leaves were gone.
Lol.. looks like they are more intent on eating than road safety. Interesting t osee the different profiles to them; some look as though they need the exercise!
Mary MacADNski: The white one was thinking of crossing over to my car but didn't thank goodness. This is a very busy road.
They look remarkably well fed, and remarkably focused on the ground, makes me wonder if there's been a grain spillage.
Mary MacADNski: So often there is grain along the roads. These ducks I understand have been allowed to do this all year. The neighbours are upset as their cats and dogs want to cross the road to get to the ducks. I thought it was hilarious and luckily my friend's driveway was there to pull into.
