The misty waters and the silhouettes of the cranes make this a fine image...
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Larry. I did get wonderful light in Fla. You are probably familiar with these birds. They are new to me.
The light make it a very quiet shot!

I like it very much!
Mary MacADNski: I did have beautiful light for the Florida shots. I was out at seven every morning.

Wonderful photo Mary
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Vintage. The light was so nice.
This is a lovely shot Mary - but slightly spooky!
Mary MacADNski: There is nothing spooky about these birds. They are not shy like the herons and you can easily get this close. They do a fabulous mating dance.

Beautiful shot.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Jessie.
This is beautiful Mary. Just what I needed on a freezing cold foggy morningsmile
Mary MacADNski: This was a mist rising to a warm, warm day. You could go outside and take some photos of the ice fog.
I like the landscapes where the fog predominates. Here in addition you have secured those magnificent units of great birds!
Mary MacADNski: When I was away it was foggy many mornings. They are wonderful birds and they dance with each other.

Very attractive, Mary. I like the mistiness in this and the stance of the cranes.
Mary MacADNski: They do dances with each other and I got a couple of shots where it is obvious. I wish I'd known how to take movies with the camera. I would have used it then.
Beautiful shot.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Stefania.

This is a high quality picture Mary, the mist, the reflections in the water, the colours.
Everything is spot on.
A joy for the eye.

I see you used your stay in Florida to the fullest. Good for you.
ps. Very unusual song from Youssou N'Dour. Too westernized pops. I like his real African stuff much better.
Mary MacADNski: I like his African stuff better too. His songs are always very long. Happy New Year, VZ.

Very good use of the backlight. Bee bop a lula indeed smile The best for the new year.
Mary MacADNski: If you've seen their mating dance you would understand the reason for the song.

Mary MacADNski: It's a lovely spot. Happy New Year to you too.
Lovely, Mary! I've seen these beautiful birds doing their mating "dance" and it was a stunning sight of leaping, hopping and flapping - all done very gracefully. Have a great 2009, walking and taking many more great photos!
Mary MacADNski: Isn't it the most fabulous sight!? Thanks for the good wishes and I return them to you.
Beautiful Atmosphere here ! Bravo !
Mary MacADNski: It was stunning light each morning.
