As I look around shutterchance and see all of these photos posted from nice warm places it's nice to know i'm not the only one with snow outside my window wink Nice shot Mary smile It makes me think of skiing!
Mary MacADNski: Yes, Iain, we're certainly in the midst of winter. We have begun a cold snap that isn't to last long but it's -19.
I'll bet it looks very different here in summer Mary
Mary MacADNski: Absolutely. It is probably pasture or grain.

getting cold just looking
Mary MacADNski: I noticed Canberra is 38 today. My friends there would probably give anything to be rolling down this hill right now.
It has gone milder here, our cold snap seems to be over for now! That snow looks deep Mary
Mary MacADNski: We've just entered a cold snap. It is -19 at the moment.
Snow everywhere! Very nice capture Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard.

-19 .. now that is cold! If you believe the Britsih media and our Met Office, anything below around +5 will end up killing us! We've forgotten what a proper winter is like. I like the strong diagonal in this.
Mary MacADNski: In many ways the cold temps are good for us. Insects that have been arriving here from other climates can't take the cold temps and are thus controlled somewhat and other things similarly.
Hmmm ! I like very much the sky too !
Mary MacADNski: I liked the sky and the sparkly snow together.

We only got to -12 Mary and that was with out snow just plain frost. This look great, but pleased you had the -19 and not us.smile
Mary MacADNski: I should have said that that temp was early morning. It's now noon and -5.
It just needs a couple of kids making snow angels.
Mary MacADNski: Perfect observation, Michael.
