Mary MacADNski: You acclimatize to the weather, Zed. We Canadians are hardy and tough but like nothing better than a Southern (or Australian) vacation. There are positive aspects of winter too. One, you can appreciate. We get moisture in our soil.
LOL.. I saw the title before the image appeared; I'm too embarrassed to say what was going through my mind at the time (have you heard of the term "builder's bum"?) Good to see that they have plenty to eat and that he;s obviously not hungry if he has the time to pose for the camera! Hopefully, they get shelter at night?

This was a couple of weeks ago before the cold spell. The have a barn to the left that they stay in at night. This is the same field where I had so many nice horse photos a couple of years ago. Different renters now.
Donkeys are like watch dogs. They protect their charges. That is just what this donkey is doing. He doesn't know me at all and is making sure I'm not here to huirt his horse.
