I had this photo queued for today but it somehow landed in my unassigned pile with all the information missing. Here it is again:
Last week I visited my hometown with my aunt who is vacationing with me for three weeks. The highlight of the trip for me was snowshoeing with my little brother. We were out for two hours and would have stayed much longer but all the coffee we drank before going out wanted to make an exit. It was way too cold for a woman to pee in the woods so we had to let the outing stand at two hours. The time was glorious as to me there is no better place than the woods.

Your funny narrative reminded me of the advice I got from my experienced friend while on my first trek/camp trip on snow many years ago..."Don't eat too much yellow snow".
Mary MacADNski: We learn that from a very young age but leave out the words 'too much'.
Mary when you gotta go you've gotta go. I know when out walking miles from anywhere, nature has to take it's course.
Love the shot BTW
Nice to meet little Bro
Mary MacADNski: In most cases with not a soul in sight but a brother there would no problem going but it was extremely cold. We have layers and layers on. No way was I unpeeling in that much cold!
One hour out and one back - you had great control that last hour. You brother doesn't seem so little [heh, heh] - I know, it is like my wife referreing to a nephew she babysat, as a boy - he is now 41 years and around 2 metres and she still think he is a boy.
Great picture of a coloured splotch in the white woods. I like the patterns of snow hanging in the trees.
Mary MacADNski: He and I are 10 years apart and he'll always be the "little brother." We both love the woods and photography and are the only two in the family who look alike. He swears more than I do though, bad little boy that he is.
Hheehhe, Mary. Coffee has the same effect on me, too! Have you heard of the ShePee; would that have helped? Great use for tennis raquets out of season, too!
Mary MacADNski: I usually drink one a day and that day I had three. Actually one was so large it was more like four. Whew!
Well Mary, you know what they say: "you can't buy a good cuppa coffee...you can only rent it for a while."
Do you work in Photoshop? Let me know if you do...I have a great tip for opening up - lightening - your brother's face. It's much better than using the dodge brush.
Nice environmental portrait...cheers!
Mary MacADNski: I use no post processing at all. I had Picasa for a while to straighten horizons but after a computer crash a couple of months ago, no longer have it.
