photoblog image A Go In the Snow

A Go In the Snow

On my way home to the Island last week I found a boy exercising his horses in a unique way.  There was another waiting it's turn.

Looks like fun!
Mary MacADNski: I'd love to try.
That's the way to do it Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Wouldn't it be fun?
I need one of those horses to drag me along! Great idea.
Mary MacADNski: I think you'd have to line up.

I wonder if, when they reach to end, the horse gets on the board and the boy pulls it back to the start?

This is a fine shot, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ray. I have a shot of the end of the line but believe another horse was going to get a turn....on the front.

That looks like fun
Mary MacADNski: I turned around on the highway and went back to see this unique way to exercise a horse. It really does look like fun!

great find Mary, looks like a lot of fun
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Zed. It does look like fun.
They both seem to be enjoying themselves Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Another horse was waiting it's turn too and I could feel it's excitement.

Way to go! Thank you for this picture.
Mary MacADNski: You're welcome, Louis. It was fantastic to come across. I turned around on the highway and went back to get this.
Fantastic picture Mary. I wish I could practice it!
Mary MacADNski: Wouldn't it be fun?
lol! That looks like fun! Nice capture, Mary. (:o)
Hi Mary...how much fun was this! I see this and immediately wonder, "Did Mary think to set her shutter speed to 1/8 sec, zoom in and wait until the horse & sledder pulled up alongside? Then, pan along as they go by, getting 2/3 panned shots." Blurred background, moving hooves & legs, sharp horse head and boy - can you see that possibility. I do this exercise for myself constantly, so that I'm more prepared to see an alternative possibility, a way to turn a unique opportunity into a truly unique image. Cheers...
Mary MacADNski: There wasn't time to do anything so fancy. I passed it on the highway, turned around, came back and got three very quick shots without any set-up. The last image is the horse going into the barn.
That looks fun..well caught!.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ronald. Hope the horse kept the track clean. That would be the only problem when sitting behind the horse like that.

Hehe, that looks brilliant fun!
Mary MacADNski: It really does . Another horse was waiting it's turn and just prancing in place, excited for the chance.
Absolutely amazing shot Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It was certainly worth turning around on the highway for.
