photoblog image New Brunswick Shed

New Brunswick Shed

I made a mistake with yesterday's photo and posted a version where it is sharpened at uploading.  It really messed it up and then uploaded the wrong one again.  Too much of a hurry.  Sorry.  I will leave the correct one in the unassigned bin and when I'm in a hurry to post one, I'll slip it in.  Yesterday's was horrible.

Today's shot is reminiscent of this one, taken moments before, and my sister's barn.  I got to see some nice old buildings in snow during my recent trip to the mainland.

We get off the mainland sometimes but today we're on An Island Walk.

This, I like! Especially the conifers congregated at one end of the building.

Very nice Mary, cant wait to see yesterdays shot as you meant it to be
Mary MacADNski: It may be a while, Zed. It's there for a day when I need something quickly.

Good one
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Vintage.
I really like this one Mary. The barn seems having been pushed into the trees!
Mary MacADNski: I've seen nature take over other barns. It may happen here too.

Makes me think of a little Swiss chapel in the snow for some reason or other!
Mary MacADNski: I can understand a shot evoking memories of something else entirely. It happens to me a lot.

The thing about this, Mary, is that if this is the shed, look at all the land around it. It makes you feel the rest of the property has got to be immense!
Mary MacADNski: This is unfamiliar to me so I don't know if the property is immense. Just something along the road that made me stop.
A real winter scene...I would'nt mind that shed as my house !!! Lovely shot Mary.
Mary MacADNski: You aren't hard to please.

I have learnt that with fine twigs of a silhouetting tree, the shutter sharpening produces ghosting. Saw it in your pic yesterday. And then when you load unsharpened it ends up less sharp (read - more soft) than the source.

Another great composition and snowscape.
Mary MacADNski: This is ice on the trees, Louis. I got a whole lot of shots but not focusing on the ice. My aunt and I had to be in another city at a certain time and my five stops along the highway made us late. I wish I'd had some time. These trees are filled with a sparkling white frost.
Yesterday's looked OK to me. It isn't horribly oversharpened. Still it will be interesting to see what you intended.
This looks fine too smile
Mary MacADNski: I have decided to post everything in my unassigned file so you will see it soon.

Wonderful pictures Mary, I love snow.......and yesterdays....I thought it was wonderful too...

Your sister lives in a nice surrounding too.
Mary MacADNski: She does indeed. New Brunswick is called "The Picture Province."

Beautiful image Mary,
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Aussie. I wish I'd had longer at these spots.
