For those who advise me to punch this up and twiddle that, I've done one. I uploaded this onto a web-based photo editor and pressed Auto Fix. Basically it whitened the white. If I knew how to use the various tools, I could probably make it better but do not know the tools. For this time only, as well, I am using the white background. With the super white background on the photo now, it seemed to fit.
I will be back with a black background untwiddled photo tomorrow.

It showed up on the black background for me, Mary, so after reading your text, I switched it to white. Wow! That is one foxy fox!
Mary MacADNski: I thought it stayed the way you posted it. No difference. It is easily switched. It was my only time ever of using the white background.
What a beautiful creature - I see he has his winter coat on. It was on a black background for me too - in fact I think I prefer it on black.

Mary MacADNski: The last fox shot showed her coat beautifully. I pretty well always like black as a background but since the twiddle turned the photo to such stark (dead) white, I thought I'd try it. Woke me up!
It works beautifully with the white background (after I switched to it!)The problem with snow is you often get a blue cast so a quick auto fix is allowed. I don't know if you have tried Picasa from google, but it is a useful way of getting basic adjustments to pictures.
Beautiful picture.
Mary MacADNski: I had Picasa but found it bulky and slow. I love the blue in snow, Bill. I thin it is what makes snow beautiful and delight in the colour every day. Every day at dawn and dusk we have a blue period that is among the most beautiful lights of hre day - I call it the blue hour though it is usually shorter.
Billiant. Never seem to get close enough to these cunning fellows to capture a pic. This is very very good.
Mary MacADNski: This fox comes onto my deck. I DON'T feed them but many people do. They want my cats. It does give me a good opportunity for some shots. I can go onto the deck and they don't run away.
