Nap Time

I came home just after noon today and found Mr or Mrs Fox having a nap at the top of the driveway.  Please excuse the telephone lines but it is reality.  I like telephone and highspeed. S/he moved out of the way while I passed but laid down again to continue the nap.  I took the shot before I even opened the door to my house.  The foxes seem to be perfectly relaxed.  The cats wanted to go out but I let them only after I thought the fox had left for the day.

Foxes that close to a house out our way don't sleep comfortably, its usually permanently. (personally l only shoot with a camera) nice capture Mary, says a lot for the area in which you live that their that comfortable close to humans
Mary MacADNski: There are lots and lots of foxes around here and many people feed them. I do not. I just wish they didn't like cats.
What a beauty. He looks very relaxed.
Mary MacADNski: I got a few photos of him up then back down in the same spot for his nap. Amazing, I think.
Really cute Mary...Nice..that you have that thought for them. Lovely shot.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ron

lol @ I like telephone and highspeed grin

that was awfully nice of you to not let the cats out. the poor mr/mrs fox does seem like they needed a good sleep. almost feel bad for the bugger with all the snow all around.
Mary MacADNski: The cats would not bother the fox, Mia. Hungry foxes eat cats. It slept for over an hour waking to chase a squirrel but then curling right back up.
What a dream ! I'm amazed to see that foxes are not so wild there ! In my opinion it's possible to crop the shot to get a better view ?
Mary MacADNski: I did that the next day but had to get something up quick that night.
