This was supposed to come up last Saturday but did not. My sister in law was going away that day and is coming home today. She sometimes feeds the cats when I am away so the cats like her. She however, does not like cats. One time I was away she told me on my return that she had petted Kenz. I looked at her in disbelief, because with her phobia, she has never knowingly touched a cat. She said, to my shocked face, "Well, I did keep my glove on."

It is funny how some people are really repelled by cats. We have a very good friend and the look on her face if one of our cats goes near her is priceless! My tribe, on the other hand, would be queueing up to give Kenz a cuddle.
Mary MacADNski: My whole family are cat lovers and I've had them most of my life. Nothing like them.
When I saw the title, I was fearful that it was going to be bad news! How can anyone not like cats? I like the way she is almost sat on the border of the frame.
Mary MacADNski: She was scratched by barn cats when she was a very young child and it began a phobia.
Does this look like a cat that will tear the head off a waxwing tomorrow...nar...wouldn't hurt anything that wasn't clearly labeled "cat food'.
Mary MacADNski: Believe it or not, I trained the cats not to hurt birds. They sit out beside the feeders and the birds come and eat. I started when they were tiny kittens.
Very nice shot! The cat is sharp and beautifully lit by the evening/morning sun.
The odd composition is drawing lots of attention but I like it.
Mary MacADNski: There was a comment last week about the composition saying
"interesting composition
and great lighting
looks like the cat is about to break the fourth wall
i think it would be better balanced if the cat and human were placed on the opposite sides of the image"
In truth there is an opposite one with my sister in law's face in focus and her further up the hill, on the opposite side. She was away and I could not ask for her permission to show her in focus.
Since she's been back, she says it's ok so, I may show a second image.
