Mr and/or Mrs Fox come by almost every day. On Sunday I got forty shots of what I think is the female. The cats were outdoors and I picked them up one at a time and took them in. I have a good shot of the fox's teeth in one; this one shows her licking her lips from the crow food she found.

I had a flock of tumbler pigeons once upon a time and a fox killed every one of them one night. How it got into their pen I'll never know. But, the fox was just doing what foxes do. You've caught this one beautifully.
Mary MacADNski: Foxes are like that. They will take ducks and chickens too. I raised ducks for years but they were the days before we had so many foxes here. About 15 years ago the world prices dropped on fox pelts and many fox farmers opened their cage doors. Since then the population has greatly increased.
They are such beautiful creatures and so interesting to watch. We used to have a den close to us, but then they built a new roadway and now they seem to have disappeared after watching them for many years. Great shot--snow is nicely exposed.
Mary MacADNski: I'm pretty sure I know where the den is for these foxes too. I've seen this pair for several years too. They are beautiful but crafty.
When l read the blog l thought it said you had a shot of the fox's teeth in one of your cats. Didn't like the thought of that at all, then l realized l misinterpreted. (back is playing up, painkillers arn't good for me)
Mary MacADNski: Goodness, no, but will post the fox with teeth showing soon, maybe tomorrow.
She has an archetypal foxy face! You feed the crows?!
Ingrid
Mary MacADNski: I have a family of five crows I've fed in winter for a couple of years. They did not like the last dog food I gave them and for the first time, the foxes got food here. I did not want to feed foxes as they will take cats and I have two. I lost Clarke a couple of years ago from a fox or coyote.
Looks like she's having a good scratch, Mary. We used to get in the garden in one of the houses we lived in and they becaem accustomed to use feeding them and would come when called!
Mary MacADNski: You got it, Alan. She is scratching. I don't feed them, but feed dog food to the crows. They didn't like the last dog food I bought them and the foxes who came regularly anyway found food for the first time.
She wouldn't be so cheeky if she was over here. Some of our birds of prey love foxes.
Great pic.
Mary MacADNski: We are over run with foxes. About 15 years ago the world prices dropped on fox pelts. It became a useless expense to feed them so many fox farmers just opened their cage doors. Since then the population has greatly increased.
They are such beautiful animals.
Too bad they like cats as much as we do.
Luv Ya
