Good morning Mary, and thank you so much for your message. I hope that you are well.
What a wonderful image that greets me upon my return. Amazing that the wild foxes are clever and brave enough to come close for scraps. I guess animals must adapt to circumstances and seek food wherever they can.
Foxes in the countryside where I live, are now so tame and fearless of man that they willsleep on the back lawn in the sun and not budge when you go out into the garden!
Love the scene here with the fox and ducks on either side of the water. Beautifully captured. I shall be going back through your archives when I have some time, and look forward to subsequent photographs.
Mary MacADNski: I'm glad I found you. The funny thing I know you by this name too. Like me also being Cuidado everywhere else and the Mary pseudonym here.
If you return and look in the archives you will see lots of fox photos and more coming up. Mr and Mrs Fox have made my deck a regular stop on their neighbourhood tour. I don't feed them but they like hanging out and watching the cats....and ducks. They also chase squirrels. I had a photo up last wek of one sleeping on my property too.
Thanks for the visit. I enjoyed your blog and will return as well.
You've been spotted, Mary.. at least he's eye been taken away from the ducks!
Mary MacADNski: He was coming toward the house anyway and came toward me, thinking I might give him a handout. I din not and went inside so he came onto the deck. They are cheeky.
I envy you. How I would like to be there. In spite of the temperature.
Mary MacADNski: It is beautiful here and the temps aren't bad at this point. For Fri, the weekend and Monday it will range from 3 to 8 drgrees. That should melt some snow.
He looks remarkably well fed, maybe other people are giving him handouts?
Mary MacADNski: I think quite a few people feed foxes and they take care of mice, moles and voles. They chase squirrels but I'm not sure how often they win at that game.
Either way...love the wildlife sprinkled over this scene.
