Red Hen

The hens wanted their share of attention when I visited the lambs two weeks ago.  This gal was especially vocal.

After being around my sister and BIL's chickens, Mary, I'll never see an image like this in the same way again. smile
Mary MacADNski: They are wonderful birds.

I would be vocal if I was behind bars too lol
Mary MacADNski: She was safe from all the sheep and lambs.

That wire looks a bit flimsy for protection from your foxes, Mary.

She's a nice looking chook, though...Rhode Island Red, or some PEI cousin?
Mary MacADNski: This is inside a barn, Ray. They are safe from the foxes.
I have the same vocal ones not far from home Mary!
Mary MacADNski: I love their song. A whole barn full is a choir.

I think that we all live in a "caged world", Mary, although perhaps our cages are less visible then the one shown here.
Mary MacADNski: Caged was safer for this one. Several sheep and lambs were on this side of the fence.
The one word that popped into my mind - TRAPPED !
Mary MacADNski: Nosy comes to mind to me.
I think she had better keep a low profile..Does she know Easter is on its way !
Mary MacADNski: Never thought of that, Ronald. With the little lambs on this side of the fence, the whole barn could be in danger.
Another fine chicken. Must be the time of yearsmile
Mary MacADNski: He was a nosy neighbour to the sheep.
My question is :
Where is the phone number of Amnesty International ?
Mary MacADNski: She is better there than out. We are having another big snow storm.
She is probably thinking that it is a great place to watch the foxes.
Mary MacADNski: I hope the foxes don't get into the barns. She would made a great sunday dinner for the foxes.
Love the texture and even the flash...and I'm not a fan of on-camera flash. Cheers!
Mary MacADNski: I didn't use the flash here, Alan.
My mistake...the shadows are so strong that they look like flash...must be sunlight then (I sometimes like strong sunlight) smile
Mary MacADNski: That's ok. My new camera requires that I open the flash to use it and I can't seem to remember so I've lost some shots.
