I have not seen the horse and buggy line up since I was a kid in Lancaster, PA, USA. This brings back some fond memories.
Mary MacADNski: This is commonplace where my son lives. This is old world Mennonite and there is another Mennonite sect church right beside him.

Are these people Amish Mary?
Mary MacADNski: They are an Old World Mennonite sect, Chris. My son lives in the heart of Mennonite country with several different sects in the area.

Beautiful work, Mary.

I think these folks are racing...perhaps hoping to win a few dollars to acquire the new copper piping for their moonshine still...
Mary MacADNski: You have quite an imagination.
This is quite impressive Mary. Very nicely captured!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard. It is quite a sight..... and sound.
I guess these are Amish people Mary. The one on the left looks like he is in a big hurry!
Mary MacADNski: This is an Old World Mennonite sect.

Amish......ohhhhh, THIS is beautiful, I have lived near Lancaster county in 1975, I know they are NOT fond of being photographed, I did once, only the horse and carriage as a silhouette against the sky, I respect there way of living, only it is so difficult for the youngsters to keep this up, and they place themselve out of the world....I wonder for how long they can keep up with this and not become rebels.....
Mary MacADNski: These are from an old world Mennonite sect. Some waved to me when I was out with the camera.
Are they allowed to overtake? I see they can use paint but artistic expression is not allowed, per the black carriages.
Mary MacADNski: They don't use much colour. They even paint farm implements black. I did not see anyone overtake. They share the road with all the other cars and trucks of the day as well.
Well captured Mary...such an interesting way of life.
Mary MacADNski: They are more prepared for world disaster with this way of like. They are not dependent on electricity and oil as we are.
