Once before I showed you Bella's strange look that we call 'Owl Sister'. She has done this move with her ears since she was a kitten. We think it means something but have never figured out quite what that is.

My experience of cats is that this is an expression of annoyance at something in her environment...unpleasant sound from a vacuum cleaner, or microwave cooker; smell that cannot be interpreted; small lizard moving about inside the boot-cleaning grate at the door...?
Nice cat pic, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ray. Annoyance could be it because she does get annoyed easily. She is not laid back like Kenz.
It's interesting to note that you are interested in finding out what your cat 'means' by it's various expressions... that shows a lot of love and caring. Virtues that are hard to come by these days...
I see that "owl" look on occasion, although offhand I couldn't tell you which cat or cats that I have do it or why. It's one of the reasons why I love my cats so much! You are very perceptive, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I have a photo of her sitting beside a plastic owl the same size with the owl ears back like this. I borrowed the owl and tried for months before I finally got the shot.
