Baxter

"If a dog jumps in your lap, it is because he is fond of you;
but if a cat does the same thing, it is because
your lap is warmer." -- Alfred North Whitehead

Let me introduce Baxter, my daughter's dog.  He's just moved to the east coast and is being neutered today.  Kenz and Bella are becoming more tolerant but their have been some moments in the house where things were not that pleasant.  It reaffirms that I am a cat person.

nice portrait, Mary
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Jennie. It was the only way to get a shot without him moving.

Poor old Baxter: getting the snip - AND being bullied by cats!
Mary MacADNski: He is doing the bullying. The cats were terrified. Perhaps getting the snip will calm him a bit. Perhaps it will stop him from marking his territory in my studio, the kitchen on all my flower pots, etc. Yes, I'm a cat person.

Hhhehe.. a lovely image. Looks like poor Baxter knew that his "wild oats" days are soon to be over. Like you, I prefer cats.
Mary MacADNski: The minute he is in a car he falls asleep. He's quite a pup.
A great portrait Mary. I was quite surprised when your picture appeared on my screen!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard. Maybe someday I will be able to have him and a cat on the same screen. I think it will be a while yet.
I am, of course, also a cart person, but he is beautiful!
Mary MacADNski: My daughter thinks he's "cute". I say a face only a mother could love.
Hi Mary... I've said it before: "Gesture - or expression - is everything." Well, Baxter (great name for him) certainly is expressing his feelings about that whole neutering thing. Cheers
Mary MacADNski: Baxter loves going for rides and falls asleep as soon as the car starts moving. He is getting into position here and is waiting for the motor to start.
My daughter had to have her bulldog Lennie "snipped" because he was a bit amorous with his nephew Reggie, poor thing. Similar type of dog mary and all very loveable.
Mary MacADNski: Baxter was amorous with me and with my niece. It was time for the snipping.
Poor Baxter. I'm a cat and dog
person. Ciao
Mary MacADNski: Baxter is ok. He's a world traveler and has an owner who loves him.
Looks like you just caught him before he dropped off completely. His image came up and I had to laugh.
Mary MacADNski: It's about time he stopped for a moment. If I owned him, I'd live in my car. It's the only time he's quiet.

That's one verrry relaxed dog!
Mary MacADNski: Only when he's in a car. Outside a car he is a hyper and very busy pup.
Wow, funny expression... ! Hope your cats were outside...
Mary MacADNski: The dog has been living here for the last ten days so the cats are now beginning to accept him. There have been moments however....
