MacDonald Bridge

Sometimes I manage to get away.  I was too busy to use my camera in Halifax so got a few quick shots from Dartmouth on the way home.

Bridge looks almost frail, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I hope not. It is a very busy bridge.

Nice of the fisherman to provide the foreground
Mary MacADNski: He did his part. Added colour to a grey day as well.
Yes Mary..the fisherman does add interest to the shot. Nice one.
Mary MacADNski: The touch of colour on the grey day does help.
Halifax, Dartmouth, names from the "old country" I presume Mary. Nice capture with the fisherman in just the right place.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Brian.

I wonder if he caught enough for Supper Mary?
Love the view.
Mary MacADNski: I'm not sure if I'd eat anything caught in this water. It is very polluted.

This is interesting and well composed Mary/
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Chad.
This one is even better than the previous ! Great contrast !
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Zebigleb.
Well thanks for a glimpse! Nicely composed picture...would look good in b&w I think
Mary MacADNski: I love how there are such different thoughts about what looks good. I can see where you're coming from but I love the colour. The bright blue is what draws me. I love this most about being human.

A shopping trip? Like all the others, I like your composition.
Mary MacADNski: No. I visited with a friend seriously ill in hospital, then visited with friends. No shopping at all.
How all buildings in the industrial world look the same?
Mary MacADNski: Isn't it true. A lot of the Halifax side of the harbour is a Navy yard.

Very very different from our Dartmouth, Mary! I've actually been here - I think! We were on our way home from Florida many years ago and we had to make an emergency landing in Halifax due to something broken on the plane and to pass the 24hr stopover, the airline laid on a mini-tour of the area. We were all too tired to enjoy it, though!
Mary MacADNski: They're nice cities. It was probably winter so not as filled with things to do but it has a vibrant waterfront with large areas of the old buildings restored. Hope you get back some day.
