What is this? Dogs upstaging the kitties again? Yes they are because the cats don't go to the beach and dogs so.
My friend's dog, Skipper, the cocker spaniel, was coming in from a swim and my daughter's Boston terrier, Baxter, was looking on in awe. Baxter swam too but only when necessary. Skipper loves the water.

Mary MacADNski: Some do and others do not - just like people. Baxter doesn't really like it but went in once spontaneously. Skipper spent half the day in the water.
I love to see dogs playing in the sea, as long as the salt water is thoroughly washed off later!
Mary MacADNski: I'm not sure my daughter has done the rinsing part. I gave him a bath last week when I was dog sitting and he rolled in something very, very smelly.
My girl hates the water Mary, all dogs are different just like us humans
Mary MacADNski: That's what I say. My old sheepdog/terrier did not like water and who could blame her. All that ling wirey hair and no conditioner in the sea or rivers.
