lol at Chris.
Lovely capture Mary but definitely wont want to be in those waters with this one
Mary MacADNski: There were lots of little ones and the largest one we've ever seen and this one that wasn't very big but so unusual. Swimming was ensuring that you'd hit one.
Mary MacADNski: About the size of a small dinner plate. I remember the 'blue bottle' jellyfish in Au. Those are quite dangerous I believe. These are not.
I was told they only have there sting in the hight of summer. I feel they are an over Exaggerated monster, like the common house spider. I have not been stung so I do not talk from Experience.
Mary MacADNski: I was stung that day but these are just a mild burn for a couple of hours. I think other countries have very dangerous varieties but these won't kill you, thankfully.
I dont know much about them Mary..so I steer clear of them. None of them look very nice.
Mary MacADNski: I've eaten jellyfish. A Chinese restaurant outside of Boston had it on the menu. I shared an order with a friend from Chicago. No one else in our party would eat it.

Loved yesterdays post Mary, and the Amy song again, also the dog looks like one of mine!Must agree with you the jellyfish looks a bit sick!!You would have to be starving to try and eat this one.
Mary MacADNski: i WOULDN'T GO ANY CLOSER TO THIS THAN i WAS FOR this shot.
I've never seen a jellyfish quite like this one. Great capture. Makes one wonder about the diversity of sea life. I'll bet you got a lot of great shots that day. RARE, indeed.
Mary MacADNski: I did get great beach shots that day, and yesterday and am going to the beach today. What a life, eh?
