Golden Grains

Thought I'd leave the water and go back to the land.

Grain fields are ripening across the Island and harvesting has begun.  For the next couple of days I'll feature some grasses for Ray. Barley is in the foreground and wheat or oats are in the three back fields.

Fields and streams, seashore and forests;  We pass them all on An Island Walk.

I like the tone here. Also the separation by the green "lines". Nice shot.

Another of your gorgeous layered pastorals...yum!

Really like how the individual seed heads stand out in the barley field, Mary.

I look forward to more grass!!

The seasons keep going, Mary , regardless. It does not seem that long agao since you were showing us snow.

I like the different bands of interest across the picture Mary, I suspect it won't be long before the combines come in.
