Saint John, New Brunswick is known for it's fog. As we approached the city last week, the fog bank was visible a long way off. I lived there for four years and moved to the Island for the sunshine. After thirty-three years I know it was a good move.
It's hardly ever foggy on the Island. An Island Walk proves it.

What a lovely picture. I am sure you love living on an island. Your pics are very nice.
Mary MacADNski: We have St. John's, Newfoundland and this is Saint John, New Brunswick. They keep the difference in the spelling to try to keep the cities straight. Both are major seaports.
I absolutely love it here. Thirty-three years yesterday.
This has quite a surreal feeling to it Mary, with that tower looming out of the mist. It does look totally out of place in its surroundings.
Ingrid
Mary MacADNski: Usually water towers are placed quite a bit higher. Do you suppose city officials figured it would be completely lost in the fog so left it low? LOL
Is that a water tank or simialr? It's huge! At least lost on the fog its not quiet some dominating. I can remember from my old geography days at school hearing tales of the fog in this area. Sounds like a wise plan to move out of the area.
Mary MacADNski: It is a huge water tank. I'm amazed that you would hear about this in your school days. My move was definitely the right one.
London used to get fog and smoke together...We then called it SMOG..it was terrible. I remember walking in front of dads car waiving a newspaper so that he could see where he was going.
So you moved wisely Mary. The fog shows very well in the picture. Good one.
Mary MacADNski: Vancouver gets smog. Does London not get fog anymore?
It's hard to believe I would ever get tired of the fog, Mary, because I love it...like in this image. But you are probably right. After awhile it would probably get to me if it never went away. A bit of everything would be nice, right?
Mary MacADNski: The sun never shines, Ginnie. It gets depressing.
A good advert for the town, if you could see it. lol
Mary MacADNski: They wouldn't want to hear me talk about the city. I am certainly not the one to say much good about it. There is also a paper mill in the middle of the city. Paper mills stink!
It is different...heh!
