From my daughter's files. I still miss Clarke so much.
"Memories of previous cats lie curled in the corners of my mind. Occasionally they arch and yawn, tickling me with their whiskers until a smile stretches across my face."

They've all got their own personalities Mary: non pet owners don't always appreciate this
Mary MacADNski: This was my favorite cat of all times and was with me only a short time. About personalities, my two cats who are sisters are completely opposite, couldn't be more different.
Fine words, Mary, and so very true. Even when departed, memories can bring back thoughts of their past antics and joy.
Mary MacADNski: My memories of him are strong at this time of year. We lost him in August. Also my daughter spent the summer here and that's how I got Clarke. She moved home for a bit with a cat and I wouldn't let her take hi,. This time she brought a dog. I did not beg to keep him.
You're absolutely right about the time of year; my sad time is always the end of September, and this is ten years on... They leave such a hole when they pass over. Just one thought: Clarke was clearly just as blessed in getting to live with you as you were with him. Thanks for posting.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks so much, Donald. Some of them fill your heart and once they go the hole is so, so big. This cat was like this for me, very special.
