Rows of Straw

Though I spent a lot of time at the beach this summer, I took some shots of the land as well.

Great geometry Mary!
Mary MacADNski: I like to see the various fields like this.

Is that hay just prior to baling, in any case the smell must have been devine
Mary MacADNski: This is straw - left after grain harvesting. It too is baled like hay to be used as bedding for animals.

Seriously gorgeous agriscape, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ray. 'Tis the season for harvesting grain.

Wow! wonderful
Mary MacADNski: Wow! Thanks!
I would have cropped out the sky, actually come to think of it in my picture for tomorrow i did!
Mary MacADNski: I can see that option would definitely work. It also would have been nice to have an interesting sky.

I always think landscape shots are more interesting when they show the marks that man leaves on the land.
Ingrid
Mary MacADNski: I think so too, Ingrid. My brother, on the other hand wants nothing man made in his photos. He believes a fence ruins his shot while I believe it adds to it.
Wow, wonderful Mary. I love the geometry!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard. The fields certainly give beautiful views throughout the year.
It is like A giant green zebra
Mary MacADNski: That's as close as we get to zebras in Canada.

Not very straight rows, Mary! Perhaps they should have left the drinking unti after they had fianished? smile
Mary MacADNski: Or stopped earlier the night before. LOL
What a fabulous photograph this makes Mary. It reminds me of a huge wave at sea.
Mary MacADNski: I can see the swell, Chad. Thanks.
I've never been as successful as this with a picture of this type Mary. I have been looking at the on-line guides for P.E.I.about which I know little. It looks very nice, certainly once the snow has gone, but I don't know about the 9 mile bridge across the sea, I'd catch the ferry I think.
Mary MacADNski: You don't even know you're on the bridge unless you're in a truck. In a car you can't see over the sides. With the other cars ahead and behind, it's just like being on any road.
It reminds me of a blanket on a bed that has not been Straightened. A good place to keep fit.
Mary MacADNski: I walk an eight km. trek twice a week that is very, very hilly. It is for that reason - to keep fit. I love hilly walks.
Interesting lines Mary. I too would crop the sky. The zoom works well here. Good one.
Mary MacADNski: The sky is quite uninteresting isn't it. It's a good idea to crop it out, I agree. Thanks.
