Enthusiast's dream-home...love the free-range lawn of the place!
Mary MacADNski: It is a photographer's delight.

This is all rather sad Mary
Mary MacADNski: What is truly sad is I knew people who lived in it up to four years ago.

Thats what is marketed as a renovators delight in this country smile or for someone with my handyman skills...A NIGHTMARE
Mary MacADNski: I think it is too far for even a renovator's delight. It's great for photographers though.

Looks like this was a great home I wonder why this can happen
Mary MacADNski: It's too far gone now to be repaired and is in the middle of huge agricultural fields.

Something very melancholy and bleak about this, enhanced by the overall greyness of the sky and house. What a waste of a lovely house!

Mary MacADNski: I sometimes wonder if owners leave them up for photographers as they seem too far gone to ever be fixed up. I love these old houses and go back to visit them in different seasons. This one has a long, long driveway so I can't get there in winter.
la voglio!
Mary MacADNski: È oltre la riparazione, io pensa.
It is sad to see houses like this falling into decay, thay have seen life, death, happiness, sadness and all those other things that make up life while people are living in them and could no doubt tell some stories.
Mary MacADNski: Those are the thoughts I have when I photograph these places too. I love that they still exist and I can photograph them.
I love abandoned houses....
well done indeed!!
cheers
Rob
Mary MacADNski: I do too and spent my childhood finding them and exploring them. I had less fears then. I'm afraid of rusty nails now.
When you see images like this, one wonders: how far is capable (or not) of reaching the human spirit?
Mary MacADNski: I thinks there may be spirit left here at the top of the big hill with a grand view.
I'm guessing that this is clad in beautifully weathered cedar shingles. Such a shame to see a lovely house falling apart.
Mary MacADNski: Probably spruce or fir shingles rather than cedar, They are severely weathered and almost dust.
I bet that was a lovely home at one time Mary. It makes a fime picture though.
Mary MacADNski: I'd say it would have been and it has a great situation and view.

wow...what a beautiful place....and what a shame....think of all the stories it could tell.
Mary MacADNski: Haven't seen you here in a while. You would remember some of the other old derelicts I have featured.
Derelict houses have a special appeal for photography. Good shot.
Mary MacADNski: Oh, for me too, so much. I wish now I'd tagged shots here. In my archives are many old houses.
Run down, dilapidated, overgrown, just calls out to be photographed, well spotted Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I agree, Les. I love finding these old buildings.
Strange house ! I like very much this picture !
Mary MacADNski: It is a similar shape to the old building I have posted here many times. Not as far gone though.

Magical.
Very well done.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks so much, Boatman. I have other old house photos back in the archives. I would like to say that I don't post-process so my shots are all real photos, unaltered.
