Oh dear! That's a shame! But what a lovely photo this has made! They were forecasting frost back home just before I left but it never happened. Our nights are very warm for mid-September.
Mary MacADNski: We've had frost a bit early but only a bit. The sunflower didn't mind. It shook off that frost and shone beautifully the rest of the 18 degree day.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh. The thought of frost here in Atlanta right now would be a miracle...though it has been unseasonably cool with all the rain we're getting. You are so much farther north. Hard to believe that time has come for you. The sunflower doesn't know what hit her, poor thing.
Mary MacADNski: We are having beautiful days and that will continue for another month or more. Nights are cold - preparing s for what is to come.
Beautiful shot - Makes you want to reach out and touch it.
Been neglecting shutterchance in recent weeks - We made another big move to something a bit more permanent however this time it was only 4km rather than 4,000km
We're now just over the Hillborough from C'town and loving it
A combination of the move, family visiting and laziness on my part has meant i've not been on here much
I have still be stopping by but have slipped into the old habit of not leaving any comments.
I faced a dilemma yesterday morning I had 5mins to spare before leaving for work
The frost was thick and very inviting but I knew 5mins would never be enough - So i settled for a cuppa
This morning I left more time but the dew wasn't quite so mystical as yesterdays frost.
Mary MacADNski: Hi, Andy. I was wondering if you turned tail and ran back to Scotland at the end of summer. LOL I wonder what you're going to think of winter. It would be an interesting series on Shutterchance.
I'd love to meet up with you sometime. If you work in Charlottetown perhaps we could go for a coffee some day. I go into the city every couple of weeks. Let me know what you think.
Sunflowers are my favourites Mary. From 30 dg days here, this looks fightfully cold to me and 18 has me rugged up still - (we soft Australians).... Terrific shot, Cheers, HC
Mary MacADNski: LOL You are soft. e survive the winters so they are not too bad and have their beauty.
I doubt she is going to make it through the whole reproductive cycle, though.
