A lovely looking animal Mary

Cats have remarkable tongues that serve them in many ways as well as our hands do for us.

I remember, as a child, trying to teach a cat to suck milk out of a plate with a straw...it was quite tolerant but, in the end, stayed with the tongue.
Mary MacADNski: That's a first. I trained my cats to accept birds as part of the family but I think if I'd brought out a straw at their drinking bowl, they would have run away from home.

She is beautiful and very clean, but she is something rude with her tongue sticking out smile.
Mary MacADNski: Good one. She actually is rude and not a friendly cat. She is sometimes nasty.
She is gorgeous Mary. A lot of brushing required I imaginesmile
Mary MacADNski: She is very pretty and getting quite old. I've had only one long haired cat - Clarke and yes, they require brushing.
In my childhood we had a cat almost identical to this one. William was a real character and lived till 17.

Oh yes, it's Saturday. I'm on holiday and already not caring what day it is! I like the tongue out pose here. Lizzy looks a bit like my mum's cat; he has long fur, too and spends 90% of his making time cleaning himself.
Mary MacADNski: Lucky you to be on holiday. Hope you're getting some fine walks in. I had three this week - 8 km, 14 km and 6km.

Great timing on the capture -- but for the tongue, one would never know she wasn't just sitting there enjoying the nice weather smile.
