Its a beauty.

Nice to get the perspective, too, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I didn't even get all his antennae in this shot. They're very long.

Jeeez.. gives me the creeps! A fine capture, though, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Harmless to humans but be glad you're not a pine tree.

That's enormous - I wonder what it is?
Mary MacADNski: It is a wood beetle of some sort. I found it specifically in researching last week but have forgotten already.
That is some bug Mary
Mary MacADNski: It sure is. Thank goodness they don't hurt people.
A strange one..I'm glad they are not as big as us ! A nice detailed shot Mary.
Mary MacADNski: So am I! It would make a good dinosaur though.
Fine capture Mary. Does it bite?
Mary MacADNski: It doesn't bite people, only trees.

Interesting looking bug
Mary MacADNski: He was really a great model, staying on my friend's hand for about ten minutes until my friend put him on the railing of the deck.
He looks a comical sort of fellow, well that's if it is a he.
Mary MacADNski: When my friend put him on the rail, he turned around to look at the camera. Knew he was a star.

superbe !
Mary MacADNski: Merci!
Heshe is certainly a big one Mary, and not the prettiest of creatures.
Mary MacADNski: Only pretty to it's mate and it's mother.
No, he/she is very beautiful. J'adore bugs!
Mary MacADNski: This one is large.
