Paints and a Pony

One of the best parts of rural living is getting a chance to stop along a road and visit all manner of animals.  Horses always come over to the fence as I think they like human contact a great deal.

Sometimes  we carry apples on An Island Walk.

I expect these two are related
Mary MacADNski: It is possible but I have no idea. If they are for breeding they probably are not.
ĦQue envidia Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Gracias, Armando.

These animals are in top condition...I am guessing they don't work very hard.
Mary MacADNski: I don't know them or their owners. - just stopped along the road.
This is great. I feel like the horses are coming for me!
Mary MacADNski: They came right up to the fence but did not stay. The appaloosas of yesterday's shot stayed till I left - much friendlier.
very nice shot
beautiful animals!!
Cheers
Rob
Mary MacADNski: Mo lions or elephants here so I use what's available.

I like their markings. Are you allowed to feed horses like these? We have a lot of New Forest ponies and its against the law to feed them.
Mary MacADNski: I pulled grass from my side of the fence but if I have permission I would give them apples.

Those paints are stunning
Mary MacADNski: They have nice markings, that's for sure.
They look amiable characters Mary.
Mary MacADNski: They came right over to the fence but didn't stay long. The appaloosas from yesterday's shot stayed forever.

Good photo they look rather well fed
Mary MacADNski: They are rather short horses, not nearly as big as yesterday's appaloosas.
It is always fun to stop and talk to horses.
Mary MacADNski: I think so too and make it a habit. As long as I'm on the opposite side of the fence, I feel safe.
Beautiful capture of these superb animals Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard.
Good fun they are..but horses and me dont get on..My sister has them..and I stay clear!. .A lovely shot though Mary
Mary MacADNski: I'm afraid of them too, Ron. I stay on this side of the fence.

They're interested in what you're doing, but seem to know you're not going to give them either a carrot or an apple!
Mary MacADNski: They came over to me. I snapped this quickly as soon as I got out of the car to get their natural look.
