photoblog image Thank You

Thank You

It is Thanksgiving Day here in Canada. Yesterday I had family and friends for a big traditional turkey dinner with all the harvest vegetables, many from my garden, lots of cheer and music.

I have even more than that to be thankful for. I have my family at Shutterchance.  Thanks everyone for an easy, supportive place to hang out.  I appreciate you very much. Thank you.

It looks like that grain is ready to be harvested now, wonderful coloured trees Mary
Mary MacADNski: This is soybeans, the last seed/grain to be harvested. I can never believe how long into the fall they are still into the field.

love all those Autumn colours in the trees Mary.
We have just had a 3 part series on TV featuring the seasons of Yellow Stone Park and Autumn was just glorious.
Happy Thanksgiving
Mary MacADNski: I don't think they have maple trees out west . That's why the east coast has a ll the bus tours at this time of year. The trees are spectacular but the maples beat them all. Thanks, Aussie

It sounds great Mary. Here I led a natural hisory walk. It rain so we had to give up half way through
Mary MacADNski: I'm suffering only a little this morning and am supposed to walk today at 12;30. The wind is howling so I may beg my walking partner for a break today.

Oh those trees and the ripe wheat - beautiful.

Ditto on your thoughts about Shutterchance.
Mary MacADNski: This is a soybean field ready to be harvested. It is the last of the seed grain crops to be in the ground.

You've not been around much these days speaking of SC.

Love the Autumn colours and the rolling hills Mary
Mary MacADNski: It's very pretty out there these days.
I did not realise that Canada has a thanksgiving day. is it the same day as in the USA and does it commemorate the same events?
Mary MacADNski: The US celebrates in November. Ours celebrates the harvest so is a month earlier.
What a wonderful and peaceful scene Mary.
Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Mary MacADNski: The soybean fields are so pretty right now.
Beautiful Scene Mary
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Martin.
Happy Thanksgiving, Mary.
(And by the way, you could crop out the sky in this image and not lose a thing; actually gains strength. You know I had to suggest that smile)
Mary MacADNski: That's true. i did just that in a shot yesterday thinking of this comment.
Beautiful shot Mary, Happy Thanks Giving.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Linda. I had a really great weekend.
A very fine color, a very pretty picture.
Mary MacADNski: Soybeans make the most beautiful coloured fields in the fall. So different than the rest of the seeds and grains.
The boggy section shows well here Mary. It makes a fine picture. Happy Thanks Giving.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ron. I loved this field and wish I could show it's real beauty. I need a better camera or software.
This is nice Mary and I see the autumn colours are starting to creep in to the trees, please show us them in a few weeks time when they are in full colour.
Mary MacADNski: Will do, Brian though it has been windy so the coloured ones will be on the ground when the others begin their journey to colouration.
I hope you had a happy day today. I didn't realise you had a thanksgiving day in Canada, so please forgive my ignorancesmile
Mary MacADNski: Let me be as ignorant and ask if you celebrate Thanksgiving or a harvest. I had one of the best weekends ever - so much fun with lots of friends and family though I'm tired and have so much work to get the house back to normal.
