Summer Shot

Kenz liked my new lounging chair on the deck this summer.  Sometimes we shared. She's a great gal.

going to sit and beat you to the seat?"

thats because they know its the best seat in the house smile
Mary MacADNski: She's holding onto it for me. She knows I'll sit there eventually.

I suspect the narrative should read...

"Kenz liked her new lounging chair on the deck this summer. Sometimes I shared with my human, Mary...she's Ok."
Mary MacADNski: She loves me and is willing to share. She was holding the seat for me.

Cats sure know how to enjoy themselves and to turn your new chairs into their property.
Mary MacADNski: They do that with your bed and pillow too.

They're psychic (or psychotic) smile
Mary MacADNski: LOL With some, psychotic for sure.
Bet you only got to share when she wanted totongue
Mary MacADNski: No way. If she wanted to stay she did but I got the chair. Not that I sat in it much.
They seem to have favourite spots for a while and then change to another one. This was obviously her summer abode. Love her curled up legs.
Mary MacADNski: That's so true. Sometimes they go back to old spots too after having abandoned them for years.
So do little Yorkies Mary..Lovely picture.
Mary MacADNski: The dark fabric draws the heat and cats love heat. Thanks Ron.
Beautiful photo, Mary.

I used to have a cat exactly like this, she died in 1993. If you tell me this one loves mashed potato, even to the point of stealing it from the pot, then I will believe that Murphy is reincarnated.
Mary MacADNski: I hate to tell you Kenz is not a potato eater. She and her sister will only eat hard catfood. Not even kitty treats will tempt them.

Cats have a great knack of pinching the best seats. We used to have a theatre ticket agency here called Keith Prowse and their motto was "always having the best seats in the house". A friend of mine called his two cats Keith and Prowse for the same reasons!
Mary MacADNski: That's a good story. It's always amazing how they will grab a seat you've just vacated too - to get the warm spot.
Beautiful. My former cat looked almost exactly the same.
Mary MacADNski: I've had a series of tabbies. I think they're the best cats.
