Love that sun flare!
Mary MacADNski: Thank you. Some people hate them. I was hesitant to put this up.
But it's more beautiful that the one a couple of days ago. Different feeling. That one was calm, this is exciting.
Mary MacADNski: I was there long before and long after the sunset and got a wide range of lighting conditions. In the long winter months ahead, I'll have something bright and beautiful to see.
What a wonderful world indeed Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It is, truly!

Very cool, I like how you managed the bright sun.
Mary MacADNski: I don't know how to prevent lens flare.

That is a jazzy lens flare - adding up to a great sunset picture.
Mary MacADNski: Some people abhor a lens flare. I don't know how to prevent it so.....
Agree with Sheila..this is beautiful Mary.
Mary MacADNski: i don't get a nice sunset from my home so it is always nice to be out at that time.
You were so lucky to be there for this lighting effect Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It was a great time to be out. I stayed long after the sun set.

The sky has an interesting effect - it almost looks painted. I'm going to disagree with everyone here - I'm not keen on the lens flare. For me it breaks the tranquillity of the scene and is too intrusive. Sorry!
Ingrid
Mary MacADNski: I know what you mean. It changes from tranquility to excitement and is good if that is the mood you want to cre8. It truly was very tranquil and that is not shown here because of the flare.

I have used it to great effect when it was intentional.
Love the sky Mary
Mary MacADNski: I might paint this one in the winter.
