Does this classify as a "murmuring" or a "clamoring"?

Impressive capture, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: This is a murmuration. This shot is from last year but I got some yesterday that are still in the camera.
What a sight this must have been. Was it noisy as well, or were they too high?
Mary MacADNski: This is just in my back yard and the pasture next to me. They are noisy when they land but not then they are doing formations.

I wonder what they are - starlings or thrushes perhaps?
Mary MacADNski: All the blackbirds gather together. There would be starlings, cowbirds, grackles and red-winged blackbirds practicing their wonderful murmurations.

What scared them Mary, certainly is a lot of birds
Mary MacADNski: This is a natural occurrence called a murmuration where blackbirds gather before migration. They do fabulous maneuvers for weeks before they take off in large groups.

Not such a common sight these days - I remember always seeing huge flocks of starlings when I was younger, but now rarely see them.
Ingrid
Mary MacADNski: All the black birds gather together like this to migrate. Perhaps they are not migrating from the UK with their mild winters.
So many birds, and quite noisy I would imagine.
Mary MacADNski: They are noisy when they land to talk about their last formations.

Great being able to capture them all in flight
Mary MacADNski: I've seen some fabulous videos capturing maneuvers on Youtube a few years ago.
Well they look like they are doing well. Fabulous capture Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It's a wonderful sight that can be astounding given the right circumstances.
reminds me of a Hitchcock film. Nice capture.
Mary MacADNski: Reminds me of late autumn. It's a sight I love.
This time of the year these groups of birds put on these wonderful flying displays don't they Mary?
Mary MacADNski: It's a sight to behold. I've seen very massive ones before and you are so overwhelmed at the artistry.
This must have been an incredible sight mary.
Mary MacADNski: It really was an incredible sight and they were here for a short time again yesterday. We saw a smaller group on our hike today. Some are massive.
A sight to see Mary..I imagine they fly south..telling you the cold air is coming. Well captured.
Mary MacADNski: They do migrate south and put on great displays before they go.
A great sight Mary....as long as you are not standing underneath
Mary MacADNski: I got shots yesterday and I was underneath a smattering on their way into the group.
