Lucky beaver!
Mary MacADNski: He is. This is in a wild bird sanctuary. They keep everything very natural and let the beavers do what they do.

And that's fresh water too - do you have many beavers there?
Mary MacADNski: We have lots of beavers on the island. It is amazing the destruction they can havoc. I'd say there were more than a hundred trees chewed down in the forest we hiked yesterday.
Mott the Hoople....that takes me back! I will have a listen later
Mary MacADNski: I know! I was pleased to find that when I did.
Lovely. Beavers must be happy here!
Mary MacADNski: Absolutely. It is in a wild bird sanctuary.

How does he choose which way to go?! Have you got any pictures of beavers?
Ingrid
Mary MacADNski: I'm standing on a bridge. There is a large system of 'roads'. I have no beaver but a beaver lodge that I'll put up for tomorrow.

Very important to the ecology of the area, I should think. Not always loved, though!
Mary MacADNski: There is a constant battle with them sometimes. They dam waterways where bridges cross and can create dangerous conditions for bridges. They create some good fishing holes though.
The one that matches mine today Mary and very nice it is too. It must be great to see Beavers, they have let some loose in England now in the hope they might set up new colonies.
Mary MacADNski: I'm going back to this spot and hope to actually see a beaver. We'll have to be more quiet perhaps.
Nice picture Mary.Is it possible to get shots of beavers at work or play?
Mary MacADNski: I'm going back and doing the four ponds instead of two. I may get lucky. I have a beaver lodge up for Sunday
What a lovely place for the beavers to play.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, their managed here and it's wonderful.
I saw a few beaver a few days ago on a pre-dawn walk. They are amazing creatures.
Mary MacADNski: I killed one once or should I say one killed the grill on my car. I found they are so much larger (solid) than I'd have believed.
Lovely place for beavers Mary. Beautiful pic
Mary MacADNski: It's a nice woodland trail around some ponds.
