photoblog image Marshland

Marshland

This is the marsh where the stream from my pond meets the bay.  This reddish grass is very fine and my walking partner suggested it felt like walking on hair.  She described it perfectly.

Click to Play:  Well worth a click if you don't know this song.

Fabulous image, Mary.

Miniature scale delta.

Bangkok city is built on a medium scale delta, so I kinda feel at home when looking at this shot.
Mary MacADNski: I wanted to call it a delta but wasn't sure if that was the term since it was small.
another serene masterpiece...
Mary MacADNski: You are too kind.

It looks like hair with a bald spot like my head LOL
Mary MacADNski: It would be wonderful if your remaining hair were this colour.
looks heavenly!!
want to lay down....
Cheers
Rob
Mary MacADNski: It was very nice. There were lots of these small circular ponds around the stream - really interesting.

Nice Mary, looks a bit like shredded wheat smile
Mary MacADNski: It doesn't smell as good as shredded wheat.

Vintages comment made me laugh, he wasn't kidding smile
Mary MacADNski: I'm sure that description could fit a lot of men.
It does look like the coat of an animal. I'll try and have a listen to the song later
Mary MacADNski: I don't think I will be adding music much longer. I'm not sure anyone listens to it anymore.
Looks peaceful, but I'm not sure that I would want to walk there.

LOL at Tracy. My doctor calls shredded wheat "inedible hay". My husband enjoys it for breakfast!
Mary MacADNski: It was not wet nor difficult to walk on. I like shredded wheat too.

Walking on hair - sounds like something from a fairy tale Mary
Mary MacADNski: It was very odd. I wish I'd taken a macro of how fine some of it is.
A magnificent capture Mary. The grass just looks like an animal fur!
Mary MacADNski: and feels like it too.
Strange the grass laying flat like that..is it because tidal water?
Mary MacADNski: No, the sea never comes up this far. I would think wind is the cause.

It looks like it would be a cozy place for a little picnic followed by a nap wrapped up in a quilt, Mary. grin
Mary MacADNski: It is a little stinky there because it is basically swamp but around those trees is the beach.
I drank my cup of tea listening to wonderful life, very relaxing, love the colour of the grass.
Mary MacADNski: I think it's a great song. The grass is such a beautiful colour. It changes like the leaves.
Walking on hair - I like that.
Interesting topography Mary.
Mary MacADNski: The stream runs through this to the bay and seems to be a place lots of gulls hang out.
Looks like the sort of terrain where you end up suddenly sinking up to your armpits, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Luckily that did not happen. It is solid there - a few damp spots only.

Watch out for partners who have walked on hair before grin There are even bald spots. But I know what she means. Another PEI beauty spot.
Mary MacADNski: It was a really neat place to walk. I'd been ere before but not in a long time.
It does look very bouncy to walk on Mary, lovely colour grass.
Mary MacADNski: It was quite different than anything I'd walked on before. I love how the grass along rivers turns so golden in autumn.
