Foxy

I showed you a shot of a fox sleeping at the top of my driveway last winter.  This one was sitting wide awake on the bottom of my driveway at dusk.  I'd say he/she was looking for a fast food kitty.

Easy for me to imagine a certain predatory alertness about this fox, Mary...perhaps already thinking about the pleasure of hot...eerrr...kitty on a cold day.

Fabulous to live in a place where you get exotic visitors like this, even if their intentions are not welcomed.
Mary MacADNski: LOL It's so funny that this is an exotic animal. Look around you, Mister.

I'll bet he was Mary: look at those HUNGRY EYES
Mary MacADNski: They are hungry eyes - and hungry teeth are hiding not far away.
be-au-ti-ful !! smile smile
Mary MacADNski: There are lots of photos of the fox in the archives from back in the winter. A pair of them hung around all winter looking for some fast food - my cats.

There game, in this country they hide as soon as they see a person
Mary MacADNski: They've become tame here because many people feed them. They have no idea the problems they cause.

I suppose it is difficult to hide in the snow with that wonderful red fur.
Mary MacADNski: Very true, Only in autumn would they be camouflaged.
A quality photo of the fox in snow. I hope he did not get a quality kitty meal.
Mary MacADNski: No, though I have an older print of one chasing Kenz.
Bellissima.
Mary MacADNski: Grazie.

You certainly do have the most photogenic foxes around your way! I suppose he has the lovely bushy coat because of the cold.

Mary MacADNski: This one and it's mate were a very healthy looking pair. Foxes are not always so healthy looking. The cold would certainly help thicken up their coats.
Great capture of this fox in a hunting pose Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard. He's waiting for the kitty cats.
A wonderful shot..they dont seem to mind coming close.do they Mary.
Mary MacADNski: That is the problem, Ron. They've become too tame. They come onto my deck for goodness sake and watch Kenz through the window.

Somebody ought to tell him that the camouflage wasn't working too well!
Mary MacADNski: I know. I was outside on the deck. They're very bold.

But he/she is very goodlooking and healthy fellow, I can see - has got enough to eat smile
Mary MacADNski: They were remarkably fit looking this year.
very well, Mary! I love it...never seen beforetongue
Mary MacADNski: The archives from the past winter have several shots. Have a look.
They are beautiful creatures but not when the cats are out! Here they reckon there are more urban foxes than in the countryside proper!
Mary MacADNski: I've seen them in Charlottetown, our capital, but nearer the suburbs. Raccoons and skunks are more seen in urban areas than foxes here.
They seem to be fairly tame to come this close mary, or is it just hunger.
Mary MacADNski: They have become quite tame because some people feed them. It is a dangerous practice as they come around to other houses as well then.
wonderful, I wanted to be in your place
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, claudio. It is a great place to live.
