Mushroom Underside

This was a shot from September - the same day I found the purple mushrooms.

Ah! Purple Mushroom Day!

Now...you wouldn't be hallucinating, would you, Mary?
Mary MacADNski: I've finally come down, Ray, and I'd better lift my head up from this sight.
I love mushrooms but dare not risk picking the wrong ones to eat.
Mary MacADNski: I have ones I know for sure. Other than that I only use the camera to get a taste.
A pal of mine knows which ones to pick and eat...I must get him to show me one day!
Mary MacADNski: I am ok with ones I know for sure. All others only the camera gets to taste.

Wonderful detail
Mary MacADNski: If you're a slug you're saying yum yum.
A great point of view Mary. Quite fascinating!
Mary MacADNski: It was late in the season and underneath seemed more interesting.
Ha..how long did it take you to get back up again Mary. A real worms eye view. Well done.
Mary MacADNski: LOL I'll never say. It does happen and worse every year.

What a great looking Mushroom Mary. You have captured this wonderfully.
Mary MacADNski: I got shots from every angle. This is the worm's eye view.
Great detail Mary, hope the ground was dry!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Linda. I think it was fine.

So lucky to geta shot like these. Thse things come and go so quickly.
Mary MacADNski: I've got tons of mushroom shots as they are such magical and wonderful plants.
Excellent close-up Mary, I presume you didn't try it out for flavour though.
Mary MacADNski: No, I only pick chanterelles to eat as a rule.
A great shot, Mary. Did you have to scrunch way down to get it?
Mary MacADNski: Ha, at least you didn't ask if it was hard to get back up, as someone did. LOL Actually I did, and put the camera on the ground.

What a strange thing this is. Have you any idea what sort of toadstool it is?
Mary MacADNski: No, I can't remember the top, nor am I schooled in identification.

great picture, mary! i like this unusual perspective very much.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, toffi. I take lots of mushroom photos and some from this perspective are more interesting than the tops.
Great perspective!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Hydrospheric. You have to get your knees wet and dirty for your art.
