Looks like a strider.

You better move on quickly, Mary, or you won't catch her.
Mary MacADNski: She's very short but a fast walker which is great for me who is taller and also fast paced. We plan that she doesn't stop. I stop continually to take photos so have to sprint to catch up - sometimes long distances.

I like the rustic fence Mary. I wonder howmany miles Karen & you have walked over the years?
Mary MacADNski: Lots and lots of kilometers that have been good for our physical and mental health. I showed this fence in July, if you remember:

she could have given us a wavetongue
Mary MacADNski: I'll have her do that sometime....in the snow season.

Great fence Mary, good exercise walking the rolling hills
Mary MacADNski: This is our local golf course. It has a trail around it and we do this when we don't have much time. It takes less than an hour.
Here's another view of the fence in July.

An interesting fence but difficult to discern its purpose Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Here is another view but it doesn't really answer the question of it's purpose.

Ummm someone stole the fence, or is that what she is looking for smile
Mary MacADNski: Have a look at the whole fence. I showed it in July.

I will be glad to get my walking boots back on Mary, I have been house bound for a weeksad
Karen seem's to be leaving you to it.
Love the fence, wonder why it ends there though???
Mary MacADNski: There is nothing worse than being housebound when you're an active person. I showed this fence in July. Have a look.

Love that fence
Mary MacADNski: Remember it back in July?

What a wonderful place! I join you right now for a walk.
Mary MacADNski: This is a local golf course, a nice place to stroll when we don't have much time.

LOL.. all the shots of my walking companion just show a rear view.. another later this week, I think! I love the fence.. minimalist!
Mary MacADNski: You've had a few face on shots of your pals, Alan. I'm sure Karen will give me a front view, which I will share.
We can see which way the wind comes in. I like the starkness of the scene in the winter sunshine.
Mary MacADNski: That certainly is the wind direction here. If you looked at the link you can see it is right on the edge of the water.

Look how the tree is bowing a greeting to her. She must be very special and all the Earth knows it. smile I do like that birch-like fence, too (and I just clicked on the link from July)!
Mary MacADNski: She is special and a great walking partner. She puts up with me and my camera.
lovely shot.
I like the lean to the left...
Cheers
Rob
Mary MacADNski: You can see the wind.
Looks like it may have been a bit chilly, but well worth the walk with these types of views.
Mary MacADNski: It was chilly but not bad. We just always dress for every occasion. If you looked at the link you can see we were walking along the water.
It's great to have a walking partner, isn't it, Mary?

That image is so peaceful, so typical of the Island. Are there still golfers playing the course at this time of the year?
Mary MacADNski: It certainly is great to have a walking partner. This day there were a few people playing but not enough that we were in the way. My son still goes out every chance he gets. Only snow will stop him.
The sheep have even mowed the lawn for you.Nice to have the figure there Mary.
Mary MacADNski: This is the local golf course where sheep are not allowed - only old goats. LOL
Just like my friend he has loads of pictures of People's backs as he's to busy taking photo's to keep up.
Mary MacADNski: I got one of the front of Karen today. I run to catch up to her so get a bit more exercise.
This looks a nice place to walk Mary, a lovely tree and I wondered about the fence until I clicked on the link you gave Brian and Alex.
Mary MacADNski: It's a great place to walk. You can't do the parts on the golf course like this in the summer but at this time of year there aren't many playing and as long as we're watchful...
Nice framing, nice colours!
Mary MacADNski: We did this walk again today. It was warmer and cloudy.
I also like the fence, but I like the windblown tree more. Its good to have the figure there to give the tree some scale.
Mary MacADNski: We walked there again today. No hats and just a light jacket.
