Do you eat the snails, Mary, or just play "art" with them?
Mary MacADNski: I did not touch them. The tide did this lovely gathering and I recorded the results. I have eaten certain snails.

Tide is out and the snails have gathered for the annual general meeting smile

It's funny how these are all grouped together. I guess that this is one of the last areas to lose its water when the tide goes out.

It must have taken them ages to get together Mary!

I take it they are all alive and waiting for the next tide. They make an interesting pattern Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Yes, they are moved by the tide. You can see little groupings all through the photo.
All the different sizes, I wonder do they all grow to be as big as the white one, who looks like daddy shell.
Mary MacADNski: The white one is a moon snail, a different snail than the others.
Very well spotted mary, it just shows one has to look everywhere for good pictures like this.
Mary MacADNski: My head is always down when I'm at the beach. I have to remind myself to look up.
