My niece, who was beach dancing here a mere three and a half years ago, gave birth on Friday night. These kids sure grow fast. It doesn't seem long ago that I was holding her. My nephew's birthday was Saturday, two of my kids the week before. Lots of birthdays and deaths in our family in December.

Congratulations to your niece, Mary. Is it her first?
This image with the figure on the shore is really interesting as it appears that there are two suns in the sky. One that reflects in the water and one that does not.
How did you do that?
Mary MacADNski: Yes. This is my niece's first - a little girl. The second sun is a case of lens flare. I got really good shots that night.
Mary MacADNski: We have four birthdays and three deaths in December. The last was a death last Dec. and now this birth. I like your thought about cycling. I had that thought also 26 yrs ago. My brother died when my daughter was three weeks old. The same thoughts that you suscintly say.
