Girl to Woman

My niece, who was beach dancing here a mere three and a half years ago, gave birth on Friday night.  These kids sure grow fast.  It doesn't seem long ago that I was holding her.  My nephew's birthday was Saturday,  two of my kids the week before. Lots of birthdays and deaths in our family in December.

Congratulations to your niece, Mary. Is it her first?

This image with the figure on the shore is really interesting as it appears that there are two suns in the sky. One that reflects in the water and one that does not.

How did you do that?
Mary MacADNski: Yes. This is my niece's first - a little girl. The second sun is a case of lens flare. I got really good shots that night.
Excellent shot!!!
Congratulation to your niece!
From now on, i wish only birthdays in December!!!
Mary MacADNski: As Ray said it's a cycle and I refer you to my answer to his comment - long to type again.
That is a fabulous shot. Congrats to everyone on the the new babe.
Mary MacADNski: I will pass on congrats. Thanks, Michael. I got great shots that evening.

Very fine shot, Mary.

Lifecycle, just keeps on...eerrr...cycling!
Mary MacADNski: We have four birthdays and three deaths in December. The last was a death last Dec. and now this birth. I like your thought about cycling. I had that thought also 26 yrs ago. My brother died when my daughter was three weeks old. The same thoughts that you suscintly say.
Wonderful picture Mary. Congratulations to your niece!
Mary MacADNski: I will send along your wishes.

Time certainly does fly by very quickly, Mary. Let's just think of the births and the fun times with those now gone.

So why are there two suns in this? smile
Mary MacADNski: The second sun is merely lens flare. i an celebrating both the births and deaths. It is such a part of December for me

Mary MacADNski: I will pass on the congrats and thanks.
Our children teach us the pass of the time, and help us fully understand our parents. Good photography.
Mary MacADNski: You are absolutely right, Valentin. The generations cycle.
So it's Great Auntie Mary now then, congratulations.
Mary MacADNski: This is the third girl to call me great-auntie. I have five nieces and one nephew.
