That's a dense population of wood fungus, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: The stick was completely covered. I got a couple of shots but not many. Every time I stop for a photograph, I have to run to catch up to my hiking partner. Can be exhausting!
I could spend all day shooting that lovely fungus. Photographically, you are a woman after my heart. smile
Mary MacADNski: I would rather be in the woods than anywhere! Here on the Island, most people say that about the beach. The subjects in the woods are a wonderful muse for one who photographs. (I wouldn't dare say I'm a photographer) Thanks for the compliment, Larry.
