This is a fine cabbage patch you have Mary
Mary MacADNski: This is where I found my children.
Although there are no little faces peeking out from beneath those rows, Mary, I immediately thought of the cabbage patch kids when I saw this image. Nice shot.
Mary MacADNski: Oh my, I never thought to look. LOL

The composition is excellent and some lovely autumn colours in the background.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Louis. I chose this shot because of the autumn colour. i had quite a few shots.
Interesting whiteness to these cabbages. I like cabbage now but did not as a child. Typical I believe.
Mary MacADNski: Different varieties of cabbage comes in different shades. One field I often pass had rows of different colours yet they were all cabbage. A couple rows were quite purple.
I love a bit of cabbage, works well stir fried with some pine nuts
Mary MacADNski: I love cabbage too but have never tried it with pine nuts which I love too. Sounds good.

Thats a lot of cabbages, they contrast so nicely with those Autunm colours.
Mary MacADNski: I chose this view because of the autumn colours.
Nice picture, they look frosty, but you didn't have frost in October did you.
I bet the aroma was not so good. (My mother used to live near some vast cabbage fields in Kent, and the smell could be unpleasant.)
Mary MacADNski: It was an incredibly frosty morning but this was high on a hill so I'm not sure. Different varieties of cabbage comes in different shades. One field I often pass had rows of different colours yet they were all cabbage. I did not notice an odour but on a warm day it may have been different. Some complain about the smell after it is digested LOL

I could swear they already have frost on them in October, Mary!

They are pleasingly symmetrical. Good composition Mary.
Ingrid
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ingrid. I had several shots but this showed the colourful trees.
OMG, what a field! Very nicely captured Mary.
Mary MacADNski: It was a frost morning but this was high on a hill so no frost.

They look frosted, Mary. Or is that just the type of cabbage? I like the background colours.
Mary MacADNski: I don't think they had frost on them at that time though they might have earlier that morning. Cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and cauliflower all belong to the same family and their foliage has a dusty hue like this though the colours can be varied.
The colours show up so much against the cabbage, which is one of my favourite veg, lovely shot mary.
Mary MacADNski: My favorite is from that family. My son's favorite is from another member. My daughter's is yet another member of the family. They're all grown here.
That is intensive cabbage farming Mary. Love the autumn colours.
Mary MacADNski: PEI has perfect weather for all the cole crops so we see dust-coloured rows of all kinds of vegetables in that family here.
I'm not a lover of cabbage mary but will admit that rows of them in a filed makes a good picture.
Mary MacADNski: These were quite late but still worthy of a stop along the road.
