I'm told that this is a blue moon by Jen in Vancouver Island.. news to me.

Mary MacADNski: We did. When I saw my first full moon I called home to see if the phases were the same or opposite. Made sense to m that it would be opposite but it is the same all over the world.

I cheated. this is a moon from the summer.
