Hi Mary, Happy New Years! Lovely shot. Winter is here, that's for sure. -22 outside with the windchill right now where I am! Thanks for sharing as always smile
Mary MacADNski: We have had a much better winter than you have had. My son lives in your area so I talk to him lots. This shot was New Years day. You probably heard of the big storm on the weekend. We got the wind but the east end of the island got rain instead of snow. Lucky! Yesterday it turned to snow at the end so we have about 2 cm. I love it!!!

yoiks breed them tough over there, that looks like the ocean is freezing over. You wouldn't get me out of the house smile
Mary MacADNski: Tough and good looking. All the lesser die off in these extreme conditions. To get out of the house all you need is proper clothing. You would probably be mad for the snowmobile....and swimming in the icefloes - a sport not for the faint of heart.

It certainly looks as if you have to be wrapped up warm, and be a hardy golfer!
Mary MacADNski: Not many are. It is not really a winter sport here.
Looks chilly Mary, is that ice on the sea in the dustance?
Mary MacADNski: That is ice. It is usually solid by now but we've had a very mild winter so far.

Other footprints? It was the departing ghost of 2009.

Brrrr. They would have to be die-hard golfers, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: I didn't see anyone there but there is a trail through the woods where I saw man and dog tracks.
Lose a ball in the snow and you are in big trouble. Well I don't play but presume the ball is lost and a new one used.
Mary MacADNski: They use a florescent pink or orange ball in snow golf.
A beautiful composition Mary. Not much snow for the time being!
