Windswept Wagger

This is not as sharp as I'd like but I loved this dog with his face to the wind, looking out at the snarling sea.

looks like he's definitely checking it out! sniffing the air? Nice moment to catch.
Mary MacADNski: That's why I posted even with the blur. He had been running so happily up the beach and stopped suddenly to sniff the air with his face to the howling wind. It was a very nice moment to catch.
He's a good 'un...
Mary MacADNski: He was fantastic. A couple of years ago I was visiting my friend at Christmas. We went down for a walk on the beach and this dog ran into the water which that year was filled with ice pads. He loved it.

I think he is hearing a few snippets of the call of the wild, Mary.

Either that, or he is savouring the experience of having his brown eye turn blue.

Bet he''d rather be inside in the warm!
Mary MacADNski: No, he absolutely loved it. He was just stopping for a rest after his pouncing in the snow and bounding up and down the beach.

He seems to be enjoying himself, and taking in all that fresh air.
Mary MacADNski: He was pouncing and running, so happy, then stopped to, as you say, take it in.
He certainly seems to be taking it in Mary.

He seems enjoying it Mary! Fine capture.
Mary MacADNski: He is loving this so much, Richard.
Dogs seem to love the snow. Cats have more sensetongue
Mary MacADNski: Kenz likes being out in winter but Bella does not. She's a fair weather cat. You probably misses them today but I've been so darned busy I have not found time to put photos up. I still don't have one up for tomorrow but needed to answer comments. They were piling up.
"Ah, that fresh crisp cold winter air"
Lovely shot Mary smile
Mary MacADNski: It was above zero but fiercely windy. Thanks, Iain.

Looks like he's sensing what's on the winds. Well seen, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: I loved this moment of our day.
I always feel sorry for dogs in the snow, they don't choose to be there , they get taken.
Mary MacADNski: This is this dog's element. Three or four Christmas's ago he was swimming in this water with lots of ice bobbing around in it.
Great capture Mary. He looks as if he is in his element.
Mary MacADNski: He loves it out here. A few years ago he was swimming with ice in the bay.
Lovely shot Mary...He is enjoying the sniffs.
Mary MacADNski: Very much so, Ron.
Is he smelling something that did not like?. It is a very handsome dog.
Mary MacADNski: No, he is smelling the wind. He often sits like this with his nose high and alert to his surroundings.
Vry nice capture, Mary! I used to have a dog to walk with - it was always an adventure! Now, without the explorer-swimmer-chaser companion, I can pay attention to the scenery, stop for photos, and "stick my own nose in the air" to catch to subtle aromas!
Mary MacADNski: This is my friend's dog and I delighted in this walk with him. He was in his element and so, so happy.
