I had a shot of this fellow a couple of weeks ago, looking out to sea, as is his habit. Here is another from yesterday, this time in focus and on a sunny day. Last time was so windy that a good many of that day's photo were out of focus due to the wind's strength.
We travel long distances for just the right walk of An Island Walk.

Strong wind can blow pixels out of shape, Mary... [grin]
Once again, this dog makes a very fine subject!
Mary MacADNski: Strong wind can blow your hands and shake the camera. That extreme storm caused tidal surges all over the island for two days in a row.
I remember the shot, Mary. I hope he doesn't mind his name (I accept this is is extremely unlikely in any case!) but it does not sound all that macho really for such a fine looking animal.
I have trouble using my little point and shoot in the wind. There is no optical viewfinder so you have to hold it away from the body to see the screen thus losing some stability.
Mary MacADNski: The name Dozer is quite macho as it comes from heavy machinery not sleeping. I can use one or the other, the optical viewfinder or the screen but this major windstorm made it hard to even stand straight.
