Sunshine

After yesterday's lead up, I hope this is exciting enough for you.

One wave of surf is in sunshine and one is in shade.  The sun was going down over the onshore trees at this time on our walk but having t
he sound of the surf in my ears, having a dog alongside me and my friends behind me provided it's own form of beautiful sunshine.

Yes!

This is beautiful!
Mary MacADNski: I am forever taking photos that will be used in paintings. This shot of waves in sun and shade is a good example.
lovely waves!
Mary MacADNski: A study of sun and shade.

This is a nice study of waves Mary - but friends make everything better
Mary MacADNski: Absolutely, Chris. I doubt they were paying attention to the waves. They were watching me and told me I have quite a wiggle.
Very nice indeed Mary. I like the contrast between the sun surf and the shade surf. You would never guess this is winter!
Mary MacADNski: I'm loving this mild winter. Other than missing snowshoeing and skating, it's great.
The sea from where we are told we came. Is that why we love to gaze longingly and dreamily into it?
Mary MacADNski: Women in their fifties stare longingly at anything that might have the ability to lower their body temperature.
Yes Mary, this is really beautiful!
Mary MacADNski: It was wonderful, Richard.

What I like almost more than the light play is the diagonal lines formed by the waves. Great stuff.
Mary MacADNski: This was taken as a reference photo for painting. All those lines will come into play at some point.

You have capture good colours and light and shadows
Mary MacADNski: This was taken as a reference photo for painting. Three types of waves in one shot. A winner in that respect.

LOL at your reply to Chris. Quite a wiggle? grin I'm sure you told them you need that wiggle for your images!
Mary MacADNski: I have a hip problem and I limp sometimes. I think they were teasing me.
A lovely story of how you felt taking this image Mary. Good one.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ron. It was a lovely and special walk on the beach.
It's amazing how sunshine or lack of it seriously affects the colour of things. The front wave looks so cold and uninviting while the wave behind sparkles and glints
Mary MacADNski: Eighty percent of my shots are reference photos for painting. This photo is just that. It does make a huge difference on everything we look at.
Your picture brings a calm and peaceful feel Mary, very nice.
Mary MacADNski: It was a calm and peaceful walk and I'm glad that came through.
Lovely lighting on this shot Mary, and it appears quite calm for the winter I suspect.
Mary MacADNski: This bay is very sheltered. In the shots of here on the extremely windy day, the water looks no different than this lovely windless day.
Nice shot Mary. A bit of sun makes all the difference.
Mary MacADNski: Isn't that the truth in many, many ways, cornish maid?
I see why you shot it, it's great.
Mary MacADNski: I'd say 80% of my shots are reference photos for painting. That is actually why I shot it. Some work for Shutterchance too.
